Interpreting

First Steps to Public Service Interpreting started today and will continue for a further 5 weeks, it is still not too late to register for this course. It provides a knowledge and understanding required to work as a public service interpreter.

Financial Literacy

Need some help in managing your day to day expenses, how to avoid the temptation to over-spend, how to maximise your savings – find all this out at one of our taster sessions on Financial Literacy.

Substance Misuse

On either 17th June and 19th June join one of our Substance Misuse sessions which will give a brief understanding about  substance misuse and the impact that is has on individuals. The full course which is run over 2 days includes the following:

  • The main categories of drugs and their effects.
  • Alcohol and its effects.
  • Patterns of drug use.
  • Stigma and stereotyping.
  • Methods of drug use.
  • Introduction to service provision.

Get Noticed, Get Hired

Get Noticed, Get Hired is on the 1st July at 1pm this will briefly cover CV writing and interview techniques. A further in depth 3 day course will be starting in September.

 

Story-telling

 

Come along and share your cultural and traditional stories or poems, in our taster story-telling session, which we hope will continue every week with everyone working towards a  performance or recital at the end of the course.
