Art and Storytelling

Celebrate diversity – art and storytelling workshops with writer Eric Ngalle Charles, and visual artist Andrea Heath.  Whether you’ve lived here all your life or newly arrived as an asylum seekers or refugee, all welcome to share you story and turn it into an illustrated book.

Events volunteers needed

brickstockcardiff

Brickstock is a new festival of art, film, live music, DJs and food starting this month at Brickworks in Trade Street

There are loads of volunteer opportunities from painting buildings to creating furniture, stewarding, artist liaison, information assistants, art gallery invigilators and much needed venue champions who’ll help clear areas of rubbish and litter pick throughout the event.

Saturday 22nd October – 12:00 – 00:00  Sunday 23rd October – 12:00 – 22:00
Saturday 29th October – 12:00 – 00:00  Sunday 30th October – 12:00 – 22:00
Friday 4th November – 16:00 – 00:00  Saturday 5th November – 12:00 – 00:00  Sunday 6th November – 12:00 – 22:00

Volunteer days/times required 

  • Venue Champions and Painters – Monday 3rd  October – Wednesday 12th October 10:00 – 17:00. Some weekend work required.
  • Art Invigilators: During daytime of weekdays 20th October – 19th  November. 10:00 – 17:00
  • Artist liaison/information/stewards/carpark assistance – during festival opening time
