NHS – Choosing Wisely

Patients Have your Say!

Choosing Wisely Wales is a movement to encourage open conversations between patients and their doctors to make decisions together about the right care for the individual.
Choosing Wisely Wales supports patients to make decisions about their care to help avoid tests and treatments that are unlikely to benefit them or might even be harmful.

Extremism – Community Conversations

Communities Against Extremism: Safeguarding our young people

‘Community Conversation’ workshops will run throughout March in Cardiff. These workshops will give you a chance to voice your opinions, hear from others about a range of issues, e.g.

  • What is ‘Prevent’? What does it aim to do? Who does it aim to help?
  • What does the Counter-Terrorism and Security Act 2015 say?
  • How does the act affect me? – as a citizen, parent or relative of a young person?
  • How do I recognise and respond to signs of vulnerability, radicalisation or violent extremism?
  • What can I do to manage inappropriate internet use and counter on-line grooming and bullying?
  • Who do I trust to share my concerns?

These are FREE events in March from 7pm until 10pm
