Saturday 25th March 6pm, Samaj Hindu Temple Grangetown
The latest WOW Women’s Film Club event – a screening of the extraordinary documentary SONITA, which follows the journey of a young, Afghan, female, refugee rapper. We’re hosting the event at 6pm on the 25th of March, at the Samaj Hindu Temple community space in Grangetown. Food, catered by the Vegetarian Food Studio, will be followed by film, and post-screening panel discussion. This will be a women-only event.

After the screening we’re delighted to be hosting a panel of three distinguished and exciting speakers:

Tatiana Garavito, a migrant’s rights activist and Hope Not Hate campaigner; Onjali Raúf, founder and CEO of “Making Herstory“, an organisation working to end the abuse and trafficking of young women and girls; and Tanya Muneera Williams, a Jamaican-British Muslim rapper who forms one half of the renowned hip-hop duo “Poetic Pilgrimage”.

Tickets cost £6, concessions £3. We also offer free tickets for asylum seekers/refugees and ALL TICKETS INCLUDE FOOD.
