Time-Credit Spend – Gwili Railway and Kidwelly Castle

We’ll be stepping back in time over half-term with an exciting day out to the Gwili Steam Railway and Kidwelly Castle  – all in one day!

We’ll be going by coach to Carmarthenshire in West Wales to Gwili Steam Railway, where we’ll have a thrilling ride on an old fashioned steam train through beautiful countryside.  We’ll also get a chance to go on the miniature railway and have a look around the information centre.

We’ll have a picnic lunch (or you can get a snack from the cafe), before setting off on the coach to our next stop – Kidwelly Castle.

Kidwelly Castle is a wonderfully preserved Medieval castle dating back to the 1200, most of its spiral staircases and towers are still in tact and great fun for exploring.

We’ll stay there for about an hour, depending on the weather, and then get back on the coach and arrive around 5.30pm.
