What does DX address mean?
A DX reference is a special postal code for a given solicitor’s office. DX stands for Document eXchange and has next-day 9am delivery as standard. In some ways it’s more like a massive internal mail system within the legal profession than an external postal system.
What is a DX box number?
A DX Exchange number is the unique identifier used for a customer who is a member of the DX Document Exchange. DX numbers are printed on the door label of your DX Exchange box.
What is the DX system?
All professional property solicitors (also known as conveyancers) are part of the DX system (short for “Document Exchange”). This is an express service which allows solicitors to move large amounts of paperwork between each other quickly. As such they often use terms such as “I will DX it tonight”.
How do I send a DX tracked?
Simply purchase a pack of labels (20, 50 or 100) and keep hold of them until you need them. Address your document or parcel with your sender’s details and the receiver’s contact name and DX address. Complete the log book and then post your Tracked Mail items, along with your normal Document Exchange mail before 5pm.
What does DX mean in communication?
DX communication is communication over large or relatively uncommon distances. On the UHF or VHF bands which are typically used for short range or line of sight communications, DX may represent communication with stations 50 or 100 miles away.

How much does DX cost?
DX Tracked Mail labels cost £4.50 / €4.45 + VAT per label. If you require more labels for your deliveries you can place an online order via our dedicated order consumables page.
Do I need a printer for DX delivery?
If you are looking for affordable and reliable service for your UK deliveries then DX is a great solution for you. They can take parcels up to 20kg and 95cm in length. If you don’t have access to a printer then DX may be attractive for you as you do not need to print out any shipping labels to use this service.
Can I collect from DX Depot?
For certain DX services we do offer the option to you to collect your DX item from one of our depots. If you have a tracking number you may be eligible to book a redelivery for your item.
What time do DX deliver to?
What time does DX Courier deliver by? Time of delivery is usually, but not exclusively, by 18:00 on the working day immediately following the weekday of collection. A working day is defined as Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays).
